Medical Standbys

American Medical Response is the nation's leader in providing Medical Standby coverage for the Bay Areas major and minor sporting events, concerts and Motion Pictures.

We are proud of our service and contracts within our respective communities to provide the highest quality care to you, your participants or spectators. Within our employee pool we have Planned Event Group members who are specially trained in working community education and medical standby events. Only these specific employees are allowed to pick up shifts to work these type of events.

Our ambulance standby units will never leave your event so that you may continue if an injury or medical emergency occurs. Our staff call for a replacement ambulance to arrive for possible transport while they evaluate and treat the patient on-site.

If the injury is serious enough or at the request of the customer, AMR will transport to the most appropriate facility with the arriving replacement ambulance already requested and on its way. This provides seamless service to ensure medical coverage for your event and so that you don’t have to worry.

We provide discounted pricing for events with multiple dates and on occasion, free medical standbys for non-profit organizations. Please try to book well in advance of your event date. During the Spring and Summer months we can be booked up to 3 months in advance. We would be proud to provide the excellent clinical services of our employees for your event.

For questions about our pricing and how to book a Medical Standby, contact our Client Services Manager at 408-574-3810 or email info@amr-southbay.com

We are happy to discuss the type of event you have, number of spectators you may expect and give you several options for the safety of your event.

We offer nurse, paramedic, and EMT ambulance standbys and we offer EMT's and paramedics with a medical bag standbys. Cost varies with the level of service, etc. We are happy to suggest what types of services you may need with our history of experience.

Santa Clara EMS Agency policies allow non 9-1-1 providers to provide ALS (paramedic) standbys. Please contact us for more information.
